Weekend update

We had a great weekend!

Friday Aaron and I took Kambren to her doctor's appointments. Her echo went fine - even though she HATED it! I realize I have absolutely no expertise in the medical field, but I'm fairly certain that they would have scheduled us to see a cardiologist had there been any issues with the murmur. It will take at least a week to hear back for sure. Despite the total disorganization of the hearing center, Kambren suffers from they call "selective hearing." This is a completely inherited trait that she picked up from both her father and I. ;)

Saturday we took Rose to her sister Aubree's first birthday party at the water park in McPherson. Rose had a blast!!! We are definitely going back there next year when Kambren is old enough to enjoy it. We stopped at Grammy and Grumpy's house on the way back and Rose stayed the night. Kim and Duane took her to a street dance in Lindsborg. Rose brought along one of her "twirl" dresses and apparently danced the night away. When I asked her about it last night, Rose said that "Randy told us that he wanted to see us DANCE!" I asked her who Randy was and she said that he was the singer. Cracks me up that she knows the name of the singer in the King Midas Band! I know the picture is hard to see, but that's Rose standing right in front of Randy, staring up at him in complete awe!

Sunday Kambren and I needed an Aunt Tiki fix! We took her bff Emilee to Hays with us along with some stuff that Taylor needed. While her room is as silent as a tomb, Taylor seems to be getting along fine. I think Kambren and Tiki were very happy to see each other! We more or less just hung out and did some shopping at Wal-Mart. While Taylor played with Kambi, I "quilted" Taylor's bulletin board - which can be seen in the back ground of the pictures. It was a LONG ride home - just ask Emilee! Kambren SCREAMED the last 45 minutes in the car. It was SUPER fun!!

While we were gone to Hays, Mom and Dad came and got Rose and took her and Zack Smith, AKA Spider Monkey, out to the state lake to fish. Zack caught a catfish, but Rose was too busy looking for lily pads. Boy was she FURIOUS that Zack caught the fish. All in all, she had a great time too!
